As you know, I’m always on the hunt for fabulous foodie things, and this Easy Tasty Magic set of 16 ‘magical ingredients’ truly could be the ultimate gift for a foodie. I was delighted to try out one of Harvey Nichols fantastic Christmas gifts aimed at food lovers and I’m convinced that after it captivated me for over an hour as I opened the little pots, sniffing, tasting and conspiring, that it will impress even the most hardcore food fan.
The parcel arrived with beautiful packaging…
Beautiful Package
Inside the simple box made me eager to see what was inside this box of magical ingredients…
Easy Tasty Magic
Easy Tasty Magic, by Laura Santini, presents this Alchemical Larder. The box tells me it contains 16 magical ingredients and some notions for potions and that it is suitable for all levels of kitchen wizardry. Getting ready to open the box led my mind to flashback to 8 years old when I carefully opened my Paul Daniels box of Magic tricks… what would I try first?!
Little Pots of Magic
A magical menu takes you through all the pots, with ideas for use, history and tasting notes too. I’m slightly fearful of the devil’s penis chillies, intrigued by furikake, drooling at the sound of the grains of paradise and above all inspired to get in the kitchen and start experimenting with everything!
Pots of Joy
Magical Menu
I’m looking forward to getting some time to start playing with all the spices and ingredients – I’ve already had a few cheeky sprinkles of Salt of the Earth which is beautiful, tasty and fragrant.
Salt of the Earth
At £29.95 I think this is a great value gift that will give hours, even years, of delight in the kitchen for foodies. Harvey Nichols have a great range of unique, luxurious and fabulous gifts in their food and wine department and an amazing range of Christmas hampers too.
*Please note that I was invited to review the Easy Tasty Magic set on behalf of Harvey Nichols, which I was delighted to do. No payment was accepted for writing this review and all views and enthusiasm are my own.
